City of Gonzales Helps Grand Isle After aide

City of Gonzales Mayor Barney Arceneaux, along with the Jambalaya Festival Association got a group together to travel to Grand Isle LA on Wednesday September 29, 2021 to assist the Town of Grand Isle Mayor David Camardelle and employees, Members of the National Guard, FEMA crews and some citizens of the Island with the clean -up efforts to restore Grand Isle due to the devastation caused by Hurricane IDA. The group from Gonzales included Mayor Barney Arceneaux, Former Mayor and Current City Councilman Johnny Berthelot, former Councilman Kenny Matassa, former Councilman David Guitreau, Doty Gautreau City of Gonzales Employee and Member of the Jambalaya Festival Association, Gonzales Fire Department Assistant Chief Preston Landry and Fireman Dale LeBlanc, along with Wally Taillon President of the Jambalaya Festival Association, Cade Lanoux, Current Jambalaya Champion, and Secretary of the Jambalaya Festival Association Bart Himel . The Group cooked and served 360 servings of Jambalaya, White Beans, Salad and Bread. Some of the individuals had not had a hot meal in three weeks.
