Sporting Events and Activities

BASKETBALL

Gonzales Youth Basketball League Registration opens November 3, 2025, and runs through November 29, 2025.  The cost is $75 per player.  Registration will be online and in person at City Hall. Practices will begin in December 2025.

The age groups for GYBL are ages 6-7, 8-10, 11-12 and 13-15.

Badges for Basketball, I’m Great Volleyball, and Biddy Ball will be updated when available.

After talking with our coaches, we’ve decided to wait until the new Freeland Jackson Center is complete before starting league play. This will help us avoid scheduling conflicts with AAU, Ascension Youth Basketball League, and Biddi Ball, and it means we’ll soon be able to enjoy basketball games year-round!

In the meantime, we’re planning two days of drafting and one week of conditioning and fundamentals in December. These sessions are included in the $75 registration fee.
