The City of Gonzales has remained committed throughout the years to providing open spaces for children to play and families to spend time together. This quality of life of life is something we value greatly, and we hope to see more and more facilities being accessible in the future.
All Lease Agreements are issued by the Director of Community Services. To reserve the Civic Center, you must be a resident of Ascension Parish, east of the Mississippi River. *Please also note that the Civic Center can only be booked up to eighteen (18) months in advance.*
Before emailing or calling for availability, please understand and be able to produce: Residency Requirements, Liability Insurance, Lease Agreement, Deposit and Fees, and Alcohol Requirements.

In addition to submitting your PROOF OF RESIDENCY and LEASE AGREEMENT, a Refundable Deposit of $800 is payable upon approval of booking, in addition to the Rental Fee.
If you are a NON-PROFIT, you will need to submit the following additional forms:
↠ Corporate Resolution authorizing the person to sign. Download Corporate Resolution Form
↠ Notice of Good Standing from the Louisiana Secretary of State. Verify Business Status
Jambalaya Park is home to many Gonzales amenities for residents to enjoy including the Amphitheater, Spray Park, Public Pool, Kayak Launch, Playgrounds, Kayak Launch, Dog Park, and Walking Trail. Check out this video for more information!


The Jambalaya Park Spray Park is free to the public. The Spray Park is open Tuesday-Sundays from 8:00 AM-8:00 PM. The Spray Park is closed on Mondays. There are two gazebos: one for public use and one for private rental. THE KAYAK LAUNCH IS TEMPORARILY CLOSED.
The City of Gonzales Kayak Launch is part of the Leadership Ascension’s Leadership Program’s team YakPak. The group helped raise money, plan and build the launch, which is located behind Jambalaya Park along Bayou Francois.
The launch is ADA accessible and features a floating dock that will rise and fall with fluctuating water levels.
Kayakers can now rent a kayak from a self-serve kiosk located behind the pool at the park, or bring their own kayak and equipment and enter the launch.

While in Jambalaya Park, don’t forget the visit the dog park or the playground!

KIDZ KOVE DISCOVERY PARK
Kidz Kove’s mission is to create a space for children of all abilities to play and interact with one another in a safe environment.

The Price LeBlanc PACE Center is a two-story 25,000 square-foot building located in the Heritage Crossing Development at the intersection of La. 44 and La. 30. The facility is designed to host expos, cultural and performing arts events, indoor concerts, banquets, balls, and more. The PACE Center is a powerful new anchor for tourism and economic development in Gonzales.
