Track

Kiristen McGirt is the 2024 and 2025 Indoor shot state champion.  She is also the 2024 and 2025 outdoor shot put state champion.  Early this year, Kiristen set the all-time state record for a female high school shot putter at 50’04”.  Additionally, she won the 2025 discus state championship giving her a grand total of 5 which makes her one of the most decorated EA Spartans in school history.  Next year, she will be competing for the University of Tennessee Track & Field program on a full scholarship.  Unfortunately, Kiristen could not be here tonight.  She has already reported to Knoxville to start her training and summer classes.

Katie Truett is the 2025 indoor 60 meter hurdles state champion.  At the 2025 outdoor state championship meet at LSU, Katie won the 100 meter hurdles.  At this time, Katie has several scholarship offers from different schools and she will soon decide where she will continue her education and track career.

Wrestling

Braylon Stewart is the 2025 Division One 165 lbs. wrestling state champion.  As a sophomore, Braylon was the #1 seed in his weight class.  For his junior year campaign, Braylon looks to defend his state championship title.

Aiden Krass is the 2025 Division One 138 lbs. wrestling state champion.  Aiden was also the #1 seed is his class as well.  Aiden also passed the 200 win mark during his senior season.  That makes him 1 of only 9 wrestlers in LHSAA history to achieve that accomplishment.  Proudly, two of the other 9 are also from EA.  Aiden will continue his wrestling career at the United States Merchant Marine Academy in Kings Point, New York, where he will be on full scholarship.
