At the June 16th City Council Meeting, Mayor Riley presented a Proclamation in honor of Juneteenth, also known as Freedom Day—a historic celebration marking the emancipation of enslaved African Americans in the United States.
In recognition of this important day, all City offices will be closed on Thursday, June 19th. We encourage our community to reflect on the significance of Juneteenth and to honor the ongoing pursuit of equality, freedom, and justice for all.
