Interim Mayor Percy and City Council Award Two Proclamations at Council Meeting on Monday, July 22, 2024

Interim Mayor Ryland Percy signed two proclamations honoring Ascension Parish residents for their accomplishments and commitment to our community.

The first proclamation recognized the 922nd Engineer Vertical Construction Company for their recent selection as the 2023 LTG Emerson C. Itschner Award recipient, with Lt. Storey Bailes earning the 1LT Orville Munson Award. This recognition is a testament to their dedication to the National Guard, our community in Gonzales, and countless Americans. In the second proclamation, Interim Mayor Percy and the City Council recognized Chad Lynch’s retirement from the Ascension Parish School Board System, service to the National Guard, and his steadfast commitment and positive effects on the educational institutions in the City of Gonzales.
