Council recognizes Gonzales Middle Football Team

WHEREAS,    The Gonzales Middle School Football Team has demonstrated exceptional skill, determination, and sportsmanship throughout the 2025 season; and
 
WHEREAS,    Under the leadership of their dedicated coaches and football staff, the team achieved an outstanding record of 7 wins and 1 loss, earning the title Co-District Champions; and
 
WHEREAS,    Their hard work and commitment have brought pride and honor to Gonzales Middle School and the entire community; and
 
WHEREAS,    As a testament to their excellence, the team was invited to compete on a national stage at the Caesars Superdome against Ferriday Junior High School on Sunday, November 9, 2025; and
 
WHEREAS,    The unwavering support, encouragement, and sacrifices of the parents have played an essential role in the success of this team, fostering an environment where student-athletes can thrive; and
 
NOW, THEREFORE, I, Timothy “Tim” Riley, Mayor of the City of Gonzales, together with the City Council, do hereby recognize and commend the Gonzales Middle School Football Team, Coaches, Football Staff, and Parents for their remarkable achievements, dedication, and exemplary representation of our school and community.
